Description

AntiMatcher is an abstract puzzle game about manipulating microscopic bubble structures. Just by dragging one bubble onto another you can group them, make them combine into bigger bubbles, put them inside each other, and even burst them from inside out.

But your ultimate goal is to annihilate antibubbles. These structures are too dangerous to touch; however, if you create a perfectly matching structure out of bubbles, they will cancel each other out and disappear with a bang!

Every hand-crafted puzzle presents a set of bubbles and antibubbles, challenging you to figure out the right way to combine them and annihilate every single antibubble on screen.

History

AntiMatcher began as a prototype made for Global Game Jam 2025. Dito Seregin and Gigo Gallegos were both working on their own puzzle game projects at the time. Making a puzzle game for a jam together was a good design exercise for both developers.

The scrappy prototype made in a couple of days received positive reactions from Lisbon’s gaming community, and the developers decided to keep working on it to expand and polish the game.

In November 2025, AntiMatcher was selected for the showcase at DevGAMM Lisbon game development conference. Some puzzle-enjoying game developers who attended the conference liked it so much, they commited more than an hour of their time to complete every single challenge the game had at the moment!

AntiMatcher was publically announced with a reveal trailer on January 22, 2026. The game is expected to release on Steam and itch.io in the first half of 2026, with the exact date to be announced.

On February 18, 2026, the demo version of the game was released, available both as a dowloadable through Steam and as a browser-based version on itch.io.
